And So It Begins…

Summer: I blinked, and it was gone. Working 40 hour weeks can really make the time fly, I guess. I feel like I just packed to go home, so it seems pretty odd to me that I’m already back at Medaille, unpacked and practically back into the swing of things. Needless to say, my second year is about to begin - whether I like it or not.
I was able to move in Sunday morning in order to be on campus for newspaper training which has been going on all week. This year I’m the assistant news editor for the Perspective, and I’m really excited about it. We’ve already started planning the first edition and I can’t wait to see how it turns out. It’s a lot of fun to be a part of the positive changes that have been taking place with the student newspaper. I’m really glad that I decided to give it a try last year, because it’s something that I now see myself sticking with until graduation.
Incoming freshmen should really explore the possibilities on campus to find something they enjoy that they can dedicate themselves to. Being involved really helps make new friends, and student groups on campus are always looking for more members. Plus, it really helps to start building your resume as soon as you start the college experience. Share your talents with us!
