Newspaper & Senior Year

The first anniversary of the newspaper has come and gone. Today Summer and I put out the copies of the paper. I was so excited because this year I have a new title as the Photo/ Art Editor. No longer do I have to slave over articles and try to correct punctuation errors and what not.
The photo spread turned out much better than I ever thought I could do. Plus, our new recruitments are amazing. They have picked up the pace and forced the returning to pick up our game. It’s so cool to see people in the office all the time and so excited about what they are doing.
It seems as if we might need a bigger space soon enough. There’s not even standing space in the office. It makes me feel better about leaving next year.
Speaking of that, it’s so scary to be a senior! Already my friends are telling me that I need to apply to graduate and that I need to buy my cap and gown. I swear I was just a freshman last year, or so it seemed. But here I am watching everything go by one last time. I hate when my professors and friends bring up the topic. My heart stops and drops to the floor and I feel faint. Its not even that I’m scared that I’m not going to get a job, I’m actually confident in that regard, it’s the fact that I’ve been in school for 16 years! No more summer breaks. Oh well, it happens right?
