An interesting Saturday

Today has been and interesting Saturday. I’m surprised I can still walk
The morning starts with a nice 5 mi stroll in the park at a cross country meet. Once finished with that fun race I race back to Medaille. At Medaille I pick up some students who signed up for a horse back riding program. So we drive out to the farm, get on the saddled horses and continue our adventure. After the amazing trail ride we head back to Medaille. A few of us grab some food at the dinning center and then on my way out some friends invite me to play some basketball. Wearing workboots at the time, I figure playing barefoot would be fun. Basketball goes great, I think I’m done for the night ready to saddle down to an quite night, maybe a movie. And then….. A friend calls. Her boy friend’s car broke down in East Aurora and he needs a ride to Medaille. On the way there we only make 1 wrong turn but we were saved by the GPS once we found out more precisely where he is. We find the boyfriend; let him get into the car as we’re stopped at a green light. A minute after we started driving away the boyfriend asks if he thinks it’s alright to part in a 2 hour park zone for the night. We immediately pull the 2nd U-turn of the night and we’re on our way back to his car. Of course the nearest parking lot is off the next street down a fairly large hill. So we start pushing his car backwards (because that’s the way it was oriented) and there I am moving with the car staying down hill of the car so the car does not go down the hill to fast trying to push forward as hard as I can in flip flops. I might also mention the car had bad breaks
So we drive back to Medaille and arrive safely with no further incident. With all this exercise I know I’ll sleep well tonight!
